8 Easy Ways to let go of Negativity Today

Today we are going to discuss negativity and how you can let go of and even do it today. Yes, today! There are few ways to help you feel better and more optimistic and forget about the negative world around you.
We have so much stress and negativity in our lives these days.
I remember the days when I started working ten years ago. I was going to work with desire, we had fun, always joking with my co-workers. It was amazing. I had positive moments every single day. And you know what – today is all about gossips, who did this and that conversations.
Things change. And that’s normal. People nowadays are working like crazy to support their families. I am also one of these people. I work my regular job at the airport 5 days a week, sometimes even more. There are crazy shifts, night shifts. On the other side, I have my blog I am taking care of. I also take care of my home, my hubby, and thinking of adding another job to my crazy schedule. It is insane but that’s real life for me.
The crazy to-do list comes with a lot of hurry, sleepless nights, and hard work. Not to mention, the people who are around me, especially at work that cause me stress all the time.
I am sure you perfectly know what I mean. You’ve been there, you’ve done that too. Or you are still there.
The hectic life we are living causes us anxiety, depression, eating disorders, and other ”fun’ conditions. I had all of them. And I was pushed to the edge to find ways to cope with stress and negativity. The answers were self-care and self-love. Of course, there are certain actions you can take to prevent anxiety, stress, and negativity. Not to mention, how wonderful and relaxed you are going to feel at the end of the night after implementing these tips.
This is a wonderful way to express yourself at the end of a stressful day. Not only you are going to write down your feeling but you also going to have a best friend that listens and understands without really bother your friends and family.
I made a journal back in the days when I had anxiety and depression. I didn’t want to burden my family and friends with my constant feelings. It became my best friend. Coupled with the other techniques I used it improved my whole life.
You can always bring your journal with you to write down everything without forgetting. Not to mention, you can make it a morning or a night ritual. Just light up a scented candle and share everything to let go of the negativity in your life. This simple act will help you in a great way.
Thinking positive when you are surrounded of negativity is hard to be honest. It is a great challenge. That’s why I advise you to start small with baby steps or with the so called positive affirmations.
They are super easy to implement in your daily life. Most of the people find it hard to believe that simple sentence can impact your life and attitude in a great way. But after a month of positive affirmations they say they can hardly live without them.
Pick something you want. For example, if you struggle with your appearance start saying “I am beautiful inside and out.”, or if you struggle with your health somehow pick something like “I a healthy. My mind is in perfect condition and my body follows.”. There are endless possibilities.
Say that simple sentence to yourself when looking in the mirror few times a day and think about it the whole day, the whole month. Not only will make you calm but it can change the way you look on yourself. There are so many benefits of positive affirmations.
This is one of the greatest things you can do for yourself. Gratitude lists are super simple and easy to make and yet so powerful.
Just take a list of paper or a notebook. At the end of the day think about the things that you are grateful for. It will help you find the beauty of your day. You will see the rays of positivity even in your darkest days.
For example, today I am going to write three things I am grateful for: to wake up without an alarm, to enjoy my coffee, and watching a movie with my best friend. See – super simple.
Give gratitude lists a try and you will find yourself smiling when you look back and see how many things are there to be grateful for.
I love meditation. To be honest, at the beginning I was thinking there’s no way that to help me calm my mind and let go of negativity. But I decided to give it a try. And I loved the result.
When I had anxiety and depression I wasn’t able to sleep at night. While I was with eyes wide open I was searching for cures. So many people were sharing positive stories about meditation, so eventually I decided there was nothing to lose.
Youtube is filled with interesting options for guided meditation. You only need 10 to 15 minutes to fully relax. It is even better if you do it every single day, just make it part of your routine. That’s an amazing and very powerful tool to let go of negativity in the long run.
Many people don’t know that about me but I am obsessed with music from my my early years. Music helps me so much to relax and always makes me feel positive and optimistic.
Music therapy is even used to cure kids. We are different and the music that makes me feel great can irritates you so I won’t give you any recommendations. Pick the music that helps you feel better and use it to calm your mind and forget about the negativity in your life.
You can listen while you are traveling to work or you can do it at home while doing house work. The choice is all yours.
Good music can help your soul feel better and energize you.
This can definitely be your best way to let go of negativity. It helps me. I am an active person by nature. At first, when I had my anxiety and depression I was so busy I didn’t have time to exercise. But starting again definitely helped me deal with these conditions and all the negativity I had in me.

There are tons of way to exercise and be active, you just have to find your thing. I love doing HIIT and yoga at the comfort of my own home. It is a daily ritual for me. Not to mention, it will keep you in a great physical shape too.
Of course, not all people are into exercise. And if you are one of these people, you can switch the exercise with long walks. Long walks are great for relieving stress and negativity. Here the possibilities are endless too – you can pick different routes every time, you can do it by yourself or with a company.
Some movement for the body is good for the mind and the soul too.
Clean Your House or Declutter
This is a little bit different from the other options but I find it really helpful method. Sometimes when the negativity is taking huge part of me I got this flashes when I can start cleaning at 11 o’clock at night. And to be honest I really love them.
Cleaning can help you relieve negative energy not only from yourself but from your house too.
Plus, less clutter means more space for new exciting and happy moments.
Have a Date
This is one of my most favorite methods to battle the negativity out of my life. I just love having dates.
Me and hubby always find time to spend with each other. Sometimes we make a special dinner, sometimes we just make popcorn and watch a movie. There’s so much to do. Sometimes we only need a glass of wine and a topic to discuss and that do the work. Not to mention, that can help your relationship in a great way. Play, make a puzzle, cook, bake, drink wine, dance, or do whatever makes you both happy and calmed.

If you don’t have someone with who to share that you can simply invite a friend or date yourself. Even though I am in a relationship I always find time to date myself. Sometimes I take a book and go to my favorite coffee shop, sometimes I make a salad or order pizza to watch a movie. And again you have so many options.
Even writing and thinking about all these activities makes me feel better and optimistic.
All of the above are super easy to implement in your daily life. There was a time in my life I was doing almost 8 of them every single day. My life changed so much thanks to these super simple and fun activities. They are all key components of your well-being.
