My hair was gorgeous all of my life until one year ago when dandruff paid me a visit. And it stayed. It was awful. I was scratching. I was showering almost every single day. And on top of that my hair became oily. It was a nightmare.

 

After a few months, I decided to take better care of my hair and basically just do something about this problem. Because dandruff can make your life harder.

1. Change Your Diet

I believe that every time we eat we either curing ourselves or the opposite. So, that means you should take some foods out of your meal plan in order to have a great hair a d get rid of dandruff.

Some doctors believe that the foods that cause acne are also causing dandruff but there’s no medical evidence. But if I have to be honest, I believe in that because dandruff came in my life when acne appeared too.

This means you should get rid of sugar, sugary foods and drinks, and dairy. This is a challenge for me because I love both. But in the minute I stopped eating both I immediately saw a result. It might be hard for you too but you will be surprised by the result.

2. Don’t Scratch

Yes, this is a big deal. And it is one of the hardest things to achieve. But, trust me, scratching will not help, it is only going to make things worse for you. The dandruff is going to spread and that will make you feel horrible. So, please do not scratch your beautiful head!

 

3.  Wash Your Hair Often But Don’t Overdo It

Balance is everything. I know people who wash their hair every single day and I know people who wash their hair once a week, leaning on dry shampoos. But if you have dandruff both are not options. Try washing your hair twice a week. This way you are going yo maintain healthy and clear hair and it will definitely help you with the dandruff problem.

 


 

 

4. Exfoliate

This is a thing now. And it really helps to clear the dead cells from your scalp. You can use exfoliators from time to time to clear these dead cells. And it feels great. It is like you took a layer from your head, you are going to feel lighter, better.

 

5. Use a Special Shampoo

There are so many great options on the market. But I do believe you should use a special shampoo to get rid of dandruff and have gorgeous hair. You should search for the one that’s going to help your needs. Is your hair dry or is it oily?

 

6. Lemon

Lemon is a gold mine and is a real killer of dandruff. It has so many benefits for the hair but one of the biggest is that it helps with getting rid of dandruff.

One option is to cut one lemon in halves. Use one of the halves to rub it all over your scalp. Stay for 10 minutes and wash your hair with water.

Another option is to make a mixture of fresh lemon juice and water. Wash your hair with the mixture. Let it stay for 10 minutes and wash your hair again.

I love this idea of home remedy because it is really simple but yet so effective. Lemon is a miracle for your hair.

 

7. Apple-Cider Vinegar

This is another great home remedy that definitely helps with treating dandruff. There are many different ways you can add apple cider vinegar for your hair but I personally don’t like this smell that stays after treating your hair with vinegar. But give it a try, it could be your thing in the war with dandruff.

 

Dandruff can be a real problem. It was for me. But as you can see there are so many things you can use to treat dandruff and finally get rid of it. You should try implementing these tips and remedies, so you can have gorgeous hair.
