Hello, blog & biz girls! Today on the blog I am going to share with you, which are the top 5 books for blog & biz girls this year! These books are a great way to get the motivation you need! I did! They inspired me and showed me that everything’s possible!
If you don’t know me well let me tell you something – I LOVE books! Especially books which can help me improve any area of my life! Blogging is definitely my passion but sometimes I struggle with getting traffic, get inspired to write and etc. Not to mention, how exhausting it is when you have a regular job and other things to do. I feel you, I am on the same boat as you!
All things considered, you can relax with a good book and still do something productive for your blog or biz. YAY! This is definitely a win-win situation!

This list took me few months because I wanted to read every single book of these to be sure what I am recommending to you! Of course, we are different people and we have different taste!
Given these points, let’s start with my top 5 books for blog & biz female entrepreneurs!
Book 1 – #GirlBoss by Sophia Amoruso
This book is a must! A few months ago I was standing in front of the shelve at the bookstore, wondering whether to buy this book or not. Now I am happy I read it!
The author Sophia Amoruso has a really interesting story. She committed a petty theft in her teen years. She is also a school drop out. When she felt broke and with a job, she didn’t like she decided to start selling vintage clothes on eBay. This became a business later in her life. Now she is an inspiration for many girls because she is definitely not the typical boss. Sophia is a founder of a Nasty Gal and a CEO of GIRLBOSS. Her story is very inspiring!
#GirlBoss is a moving book that shows you the important things in life. It doesn’t matter if you were to college or if you were popular at school. This book will move you to finally take the next step in your life and become the boss girl you always wanted to be. Sofia is going to be your guide to female empowerment!
The truth is, you are going to see many bad and mean reviews on the Internet but I definitely like the attitude Sophia has. Yes, she may have had some luck but we all have luck from time to time. The motivation is really important here.
I really hope you are going to approach this book the right way and extract the useful information.
Book 2 – Make It Happen: Surrender Your Fear. Take the Leap. Live on Purpose by Lara Casey
I really really love this book and Lara Casey! This book is going to motivate you to step out of your comfort zone and take the leap. It also teaches you how to stop fear and start a fulfilling life.
Lara explains in a really great way the constant need of being perfect and how overwhelming this is for nowadays women. Stop trying to “do it all”!
Start a new adventure, a new life, a less “perfect” life! A great part of the book is kind of autobiography. Lara talks about her life, her story and all the fears and struggles she had.
This book is so easy to read. It’s like Lara is speaking directly with you like you are friends going out for coffee and just talk about the meaningful things in life. I really loved that!
Finding purpose in your life is the most important part of the journey.
I hope this book is going to give you exactly this inspiration you need to take the next step in your life and to stop being a perfectionist.
Book 3 – The 4 Hour Work Week by Timothy Ferriss
I have to say at first I was skeptical about this book. My friend told me about it. She was really impressed and told me that book totally changed her mind and her business mindset. I read many reviews and they were contradictory. A month after that another friend gave it to me for my birthday so I decided to finally give it a try.
As I said at the beginning I was feeling a little disappointed because my expectations were really high. At first, I couldn’t understand the methods but I found myself wanting to learn more and more in the middle of the book.
Tim Ferriss is actually a great guy. After reading his book I tried many of the methods and tips and I was really surprised to see that they actually work.
This book is sold more than 1.3 million copies and it’s translated into 35 languages. It is no surprise The 4 Hour Work Week was one the New York Times bestsellers for more than four years.
This book is definitely going to teach you to new ways of living. It will show you another whole new life!
I won’t lie to you-you won’t start living The 4 Hour Work Week after you read it but it will teach you to many tricks on how to manage your life and precious time.
In the end, I didn’t regret reading this book because it gave me so many helpful directions and ideas.
Book 4 – Blog Inc. Blogging for Passion, Profit, and to Create Community by Jay Cho
This book was really interesting for me. At first, I was thinking this will be a promotional book for Joy Cho’s blog, but it wasn’t that.
Blog Inc. covers so many interesting topics for bloggers. I think this is the perfect book for beginner bloggers. In this book, you will learn things from how to design your website to how to overcome writer’s block. There are also tips for content inspiration, developing your own voice and building a strong community.
There are so many topics in there such as protecting your own work, working with sponsors, take better photos and etc.
I think this book can give you SO much, especially if you are just starting your blogging career. Even though I read it in my sixth month of blogging I still found really helpful tips, which I implemented in my blog. It was definitely a good and beneficial read and it is going to be REALLY helpful for you.
Book 5 – Girl Code: Unlocking the Secrets to Success, Sanity, and Happiness for the Female Entrepreneur by Cara Leyba
This one is absolutely my favorite from the books for female entrepreneurs and bloggers. The writing style of Carla is impressive, it’s like she is talking openly and personally to you. She has so much beautiful energy and passion in herself.
Girl Code is a fascinating combination of pieces of advice, quotes, and even interviews with other successful entrepreneurs.
Cara teaches you that it is really important to empower others, to help them fly high. There are so many great lessons you can find in it.
Cara talks about being positive and having the power to spread the positivity around you. Only this way we can ditch negativity from our lives.
Through the whole book, Cara is reminding you there’s no limit to your dreams and you also can be successful if you are willing to work hard and be creative.
The most important lesson is to stop comparing yourself to others. We are different and we walk at a different pace, which is absolutely normal. Work hard and care for your own success, not for others success.
This book is great for anyone who needs some inspiration. You can be successful and you will do that with positivity, self-reflection and by empowering others!
This book left me with such a positive outlook! I really LOVED it!
